Most people want to live at home in their own four walls for as long as possible. In order to guarantee this, the living space often first has to be adapted to the individual's circumstances. The housing advice service offers advice on forms of housing and barrier-free living for citizens of the city and district of Hof. As part of the consultation, the existing housing situation is analyzed and possible starting points for "low-barrier" housing, including financing, are identified.
Even small measures can often make everyday life easier and increase safety. Sometimes, however, conversion measures are also necessary. There are also sensible modification measures to make everyday life easier for the special needs of people with dementia or sensory impairments. Advice on adapting homes also involves taking into account the requirements for living in old age at an early stage when building a new home or converting an existing one.
The advice is neutral and free of charge. In addition to a detailed initial consultation in the apartment/house of the person seeking advice, assistance with the implementation of the recommended measures is also possible if required.
